Hua Hin, 20 June 2022 | Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM) community is welcoming Hua Hin as the first Thailand city officially signed the GCoM commitment letter in 2022, confirming their strong ambition towards Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the Paris Agreement. Under the GCoM Asia Project funded by the European Union, Hua Hin is the first pilot city in Thailand to complete the Climate Action Plan (CAP).
Hua Hin ambitious target in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction includes transformation of public transport from conventional fuel into e-vehicle. As coastal city, Hua Hin also very vulnerable to sea level rise and inundation. They expect partnership with GCoM could help to explore the solutions.
